What is Binance Smart Chain?
Binance operates two parallel blockchains that work together but are mutually exclusive. Even if the Binance Chain, which uses BEP2 as its token standard, goes down (which is hard to believe), the Binance Smart Chain, where BEP20 is a token standard, will continue to function without any problems with all dApps, including DeFi projects built on it using smart contracts.
