How to access management in Ledger Live
Open your manager section.
- Click on the Manager option on the left side of the panel.
- Connect and unlock your ledger device.
- Press both buttons of the ledger device so that the device allows you to manage.
- The Manager section shows the information of your device as well as the list of programs installed on it.
How to install the program in Ledger wallet
1. Search for the name of your desired program in the App catalog section.
2. Click on the Install button. Your device will display the word Processing.
3. The program will be installed on your device.
4. You can install several programs on the device at the same time. First, wait for the programs to install, then exit the device manager.
If you have limited memory, just target some programs to free up enough space for you.
You don’t lose anything after uninstalling the app because your private keys are always stored on the device.
How to remove the program from the ledger wallet
Important point: Programs and applications do not store any important information by themselves. All important information will remain in your ledger wallet by itself.
You can safely install and remove programs and applications in the ledger.
1. Go to the section (Manager) in Ledger Live program.
2. Then view your installed programs.
3. Select the desired program and press the trash can button.
4. You can delete several programs at the same time by pressing the trash can button, first wait for the programs to be deleted, then exit the manager section of the device.
Will the asset be deleted by deleting the ledger application?
Removing an app from your device generally does not affect your holdings in ledger accounts. Information about assets (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) and your transactions are recorded on the blockchain and are independent of the ledger application.
In other words, if you have assets like Bitcoin or Ethereum in your ledger account and you delete the app, your assets will still remain at certain addresses on the blockchain network and will be under your control. Learning how to update or update programs in the ledger wallet
If a program has a new version and a new update, you will see a notification or a message like the image below in your Live Ledger section.
Just click on the button (Update all), so that the desired programs are updated. The important thing that you should always remember is that the update operation is completed before leaving the Manager section.
